Anjali has been associated with the education sector in India for over eight years. She has a Masters Degree from Delhi School of Social Work and a research-based Masters in Applied Theatre: Drama in Educational, Community and Social Contexts, from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She has been a University Lecturer, a lead Curriculum Researcher for developing 21st Century capacities and a Teacher Educator. She believes deeply in Paulo Freire’s conscientious model of Education and is an energetic proponent of Augusto Boal’s ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’ as a pedagogical tool for creating dialogue-based learning in classrooms. She has facilitated Behavior-Change workshops for ex-prisoners and asylum seekers in London using drama as a reflective tool. Anjali’s research interests include understanding the efficacy of Arts and Dramatics as a pedagogical tool for critically engaging students in the Indian education system.
